1: Carys D’Addario has a special debut

Carys D’Addario etched her name as an AFLW Saint, donning the red, white, and black for the first time in her career. It hasn’t been an easy journey for the 19-year-old, however her hard work has paid off, and she put together a tidy performance on just 54 per cent game time.

The debutant finished with six disposals and three tackles in her first appearance, with D’Addario’s family flying down from Perth for the fixture.

2: Molly McDonald returns after 349 days away from the field

After nearly a one-year hiatus away from the game, Molly McDonald made an emotional return to AFLW football after accumulating a series of injuries across 2025. The 25-year-old made a solid return, registering seven disposals, two inside 50s, two tackles, and two score involvements.

3: Amazing Ash

Ash Richards was a standout on the afternoon for the Saints, putting together a fantastic game. Richards was superb, ending the game with 13 possessions, four tackles, and a goal for St Kilda. She has put together a great start to her 2026 campaign.

4: Serene leads from the front

In a disappointing afternoon, Captain Serene Watson toiled hard in the defeat for St Kilda, leading all comers for the Saints with 20 disposals, three marks, and five intercept possessions for the afternoon.

5: RSEA Park returns to the fans

The Saints played their first home game at RSEA Park and welcomed a healthy crowd of 1,832 fans back to Moorabbin. The Saints faithful were in full voice and it was fantastic to see the fans back on home soil.
