St Kilda Football Club has today completed a trade to bring Sam Marshall to Moorabbin.
Marshall arrives at RSEA Park, alongside pick 41 in this year’s AFL National Draft. In return, the Saints have sent the club’s 2027 first round selection to Brisbane.
A Queensland native, Marshall played for the Sandringham Dragons while boarding at Melbourne Grammar School.
After being selected in the first round of the 2024 AFL National Draft with pick 25, the talented midfielder played 11 games in his debut season, including lining up in Brisbane’s 2025 premiership side.
Marshall ran out a further two times at AFL level this year, while also exhibiting strong form at VFL level, averaging 25 disposals per game.
General Manager of Football Lenny Hayes said the club was thrilled to add the 20-year-old to the club’s emerging core through the middle of the ground.
“While still early in his career, Sam has already shown exciting potential through the midfield in a strong Brisbane side.
“He’s a classy young player with a strong work rate and plenty of upside.
“We look forward to welcoming Sam to the Saints and seeing what he can bring to our side next season.”
