With the 2026 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period coming to a close, the Saints have begun their list refresh ahead of the 2027 season.
Here is a wrap of all of the player and picks movement from St Kilda.
TRADE
IN:
Sam Marshall
Pick 14
Pick 41
The Saints got their man in Sam Marshall on the Friday of the Trade Period, trading next year's first-round pick for the highly-touted former Lion and pick 41 in this year's National Draft.
The talented midfielder from Queensland is no stranger to RSEA Park and the Bayside region, boarding at Melbourne Grammar and playing representative football for the Sandringham Dragons in the Coates Talent League.
“While still early in his career, Sam has already shown exciting potential through the midfield in a strong Brisbane side," said General Manager of Football Lenny Hayes.
“He’s a classy young player with a strong work rate and plenty of upside."
Additionally to the trade with the Lions, the Saints also found themselves with pick 14 in this year's National Draft in a trade with the Cats.
OUT:
Rowan Marshall
2027 first-round pick
2028 third-round pick
St Kilda farewelled ruck Rowan Marshall during the 2026 Trade Period, with the 177-gamer receiving his wish to be traded to Geelong.
Hayes said "Rowan has provided terrific service and been an admired figure within the St Kilda Football Club over the past decade.
“While we would have liked for Rowan to see out his career at the Saints, we wish him the best for this next chapter and thank him for the role he’s played within our club – on and off the field.”
Additionally, the Saints parted ways with a third-round pick in 2028 in the trade with the Cats, while also giving the Lions a first-round pick next year in the trade for Sam Marshall.
