St Kilda’s stocks will be bolstered by two huge inclusions ahead of Saturday’s crucial clash against Brisbane.

Dan Hannebery and Jake Carlisle are confirmed starters in what will be the pair’s first outing for Season 2019.

Boon recruit Hannebery has endured a frustrating start to life at his new club, but after two solid hit-outs in the VFL, is ready to make an immediate impact in his new colours.

The triple All-Australian’s professionalism and leadership instantly garnered respect from his new teammates, before persistent niggles hampered his early season outlook.

But upon rebuilding his match fitness over the ensuing months, the new No. 10 is chomping at the bit to make an on-field mark for the Saints.

Carlisle’s plans were similarly disrupted after he underwent back surgery on the eve of Round 1.

Despite the setback, the star defender’s attitude to his rehabilitation was first-class, culminating in a return to football well ahead of schedule.

The 27-year-old played out the entire game in the VFL last week, with his dominant showing enough to thrust him directly into contention for an immediate call-up.

The Saints take on the seventh-placed Lions at 4.35pm on Saturday afternoon at Marvel Stadium.
