Leigh Montagna

The leading possession-winner on the field enjoyed another stellar performance in the Saints engine room. After a quiet first term, Montagna's second and third quarters were prolific, finishing with 34 disposals, four clearances and four inside 50s.

The 198-gamer is averaging 26.9 touches per outing this year, and hasn't put a foot wrong since his return from suspension in round two.

Jack Newnes

The 20-year-old played the best game of his career against the Crows, collecting 25 touches and showing impressive poise and class when in possession of the ball. Previously, he had never collected more than 18 disposals in a game of AFL football, and looks to be improving on a weekly basis along with a host of other Saints youngsters.

Dylan Roberton

Another strong performance in the back half for the maturing defender further enhanced his credentials as one of St Kilda's most crucial players. Not only did Roberton collect 23 disposals at 87 per cent efficiency, but he also had a game-high nine rebound 50s, demonstrating his tremendous capacity to provide drive from defence.

The 21-year-old displayed excellent composure and skill under immense pressure on numerous occasions, finding space in tight situations with ease and delivering with precision.

Nick Riewoldt

For the fourth consecutive game, the Saints skipper had 11 or more grabs, finishing with 12 marks and 18 disposals in a tireless performance across half-forward. He often had to fight off two or three Adelaide defenders in the forward 50, finishing with 1.3 and three inside 50s.

Sam Fisher

The experienced defender began the game strongly, collecting seven disposals in the first quarter and providing great run and direction from the back half. He finished with 19 possessions at a typically lofty 89 per cent efficiency, as well as four rebound 50s. Defensively, he held Shaun McKernan to just one major in another rock-solid performance in St Kilda's defence.

Jimmy Webster

If you didn't know that Webster was just 19 years old and in his first full game of AFL footy, you could be forgiven for assuming the left-footer had played 60 or 70 games. In a similar vein to Roberton, the Tasmanian showed great composure throughout the contest, executing his skills at 93 per cent efficiency. Only three players on the ground had a higher disposal success.

Webster looks to be a ready-made back-flanker, reading the play innately and disposing of the ball skillfully by foot and hand.
