St Kilda has swung four changes ahead of its clash with Essendon, with recruit Brad Crouch among the list of inclusions for Saturday afternoon.

The 27-year-old – who will play his first game for the club – is set to be joined by defenders Daniel McKenzie and Jake Carlisle, while Mason Wood will officially take the field after being named as the medical sub for Round 1.

Carlisle is likely to spend time in the ruck alongside ex-Bomber Shaun McKernan, with the key defender assuming the No. 1 ruck role for Sandringham last weekend.

Paul Hunter (omitted), Ben Long (omitted), Tom Highmore (omitted) and Jimmy Webster (concussion) make way for the incoming quartet.

Last week’s medical sub, Jack Bytel, has been listed as an emergency, joining Hunter, Long and Dean Kent on standby.

Co-captain Jack Steele will celebrate his 100th AFL match tomorrow afternoon, while Hunter Clark is ready to raise the bat ahead of his 50th senior game.

St Kilda will look to get back on the winners list against Essendon on Saturday 3 April, with the opening bounce at Marvel Stadium set for 4:35pm.
