St Kilda has completed its AFLW list for the upcoming season, signing VFLW Southern Saint Beth Pinchin with pick No. 20 at tonight’s AFLW Supplementary Draft.

A sturdy defender who only joined the club’s VFLW affiliate in February, Pinchin accompanies Steph Chiocci, Jaimee Lambert, Natalie Plane, Jessie Wardlaw and Serene Watson as part of the Saints’ new additions for 2023.

Pinchin is no stranger to the highest level, having first signed on as an injury replacement player for Brisbane ahead of Season 2021.

Previously, the 26-year-old captained Gold Coast during the AFLW winter series program, represented Queensland in the open-age competition and was an U18 All-Australian.

“We’re pleased to welcome Beth to St Kilda,” Head of AFLW Tessie McManus said.

“Beth is a player we’ve had an interest in for some time, and having her join the Southern Saints earlier this year only made the decision to recruit her easier.

We believe Beth will be able to shore up our defensive stocks, while her previous experience in the AFLW is sure to put her in good stead in red, white and black.

“We wish Beth all the best in her new colours and look forward to seeing what she’ll bring this coming season.”

St Kilda’s AFLW pre-season is yet to receive an official start-date, with the season proper expected to commence in late August.
