Nick Coffield will swap black for blue, with St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs taking part in a four-club trade today alongside Essendon and Carlton.

The 23-year-old entered 2023 recovering from an ACL injury, before soft tissue injuries delayed his return further.

“Nick’s past few years have been really injury interrupted, which can be difficult to deal with,” List Manager Stephen Silvagni said.

“We feel like we’ve reached a mutually beneficial deal with all parties and are pleased to have strengthened our hand heading into the draft.

“We wish Nick all the best for this next chapter of his career.”

Coffield was drafted to the Saints with pick No. 8 in the 2017 National Draft. He debuted against Adelaide in Round 3 of the 2018 season, going on to play a total of 52 games for the club.

Following this trade, St Kilda currently holds picks 13, 21 and 40.
