Australian music heavyweights, The Temper Trap, are set to rock this year’s Spud’s Game at the MCG in Round 2.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to arrive nice and early to make sure they don’t miss a second of The Temper Trap set at 7pm.

“We’re so pleased to have The Temper Trap on board for Spud’s Game,” St Kilda Football Club Acting Chief Executive Carl Dilena said.

“This is the first time we’ll be hosting Spud’s Game at the 'G, so to have The Temper Trap on the line-up, who have plenty of their own big stage experience under their belt, seems very fitting.

“We’ve still got plenty of surprises and guests to announce before the game, so I encourage all footy fans to buy their tickets and secure their seat today.”

The Temper Trap lead singer Dougy Mandagi said the band was looking forward to coming back to play in front of footy fans on Australia’s greatest sporting stage.

“We’ve played in front of some pretty big crowds, but there’s nothing quite like a packed MCG,” Mandagi said.

“It’s also special to be a part of a game like this, and as a band we’re really proud to help raise awareness and much-needed funds to support the work happening at the Danny Frawley Centre.”
