The Saints Inclusion Teams are back for 2026 - and there’s a real sense of excitement building across all three programs as the new season gets underway.
After an incredible 2025, both the Saints' Victorian Blind Football League (VBFL) and Championship Wheelchair teams return with one clear goal - to defend their premierships. Success brings expectation, but this group thrives on it. There’s a strong connection, a competitive edge, and a shared hunger to go again.
There’s also some exciting fresh talent pulling on the Saints jumper this season. VBFL welcomes Tyreece Bevan into the squad, while Jude Ford strengthens the Championship Wheelchair side. The Community Wheelchair team continues to build with the additions of Lani Winsall and Nathan Wilburn - all fantastic inclusions to already strong, driven programs.
St Kilda's Community Wheelchair team is building nicely. With a season of experience behind them, the focus is on growth, consistency and taking that next step forward in 2026. The improvement has been clear - and there’s genuine belief within the group.

Shannon Jones on the season ahead: “The landscape of VBFL will look a little different this season with only 2 teams competing being Port Melbourne and ourselves but that won’t take away the desire to defend what we strived so hard to achieve last year."
Championship Wheelchair
Captain: Seb Welsh
Vice Captain: Ryan Smith
Seb Welsh on the season ahead: "With the Championship league gaining more players this season, this has made for a stronger competition, with some lower teams seeming to have become more competitive this should make for an interesting season but we are more than ready for the challenge of defending our premiership."
Community Wheelchair
Captain: James Bowles
Vice Captain: Caitlyn Alger
James Bowles on the season ahead: "This season, our Community Wheelchair team welcomes some fresh faces as we aim to build and improve on last year's campaign, we are very excited to see what this group can bring all while proudly representing the Saints."
