Saints midfielder Olivia Vesely is set for an extended period on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on the ankle injury suffered in Round 5’s clash with Richmond.

The 26-year-old was withdrawn from the game at half-time, with subsequent scans and specialist consultation determining surgery as the best course of action for her recovery.

“Liv is such an important part of our team both on and off the field, and we know she’ll continue to have a really positive impact around the group throughout her recovery,” General Manager AFLW Jessie Mulholland said.

Draftee Carys D’Addario will be a test for this week’s game after aggravating a hip injury in Sunday’s clash with West Coast.

The 19-year-old was playing an important role for the Saints before ultimately being ruled out at half-time.

Irish recruit Saoirse Lally has entered the AFL’s concussion protocols following a head knock in the final term of Sunday’s match.

As announced earlier today, forward Nicola Xenos has been cleared to return to the Saints’ primary list.

The 25-year-old has progressed strongly through her recovery after rupturing her ACL late in the Saints’ 2025 campaign and will continue building towards a return to football.
