St Kilda is set to regain several players this weekend, with five Saints listed as tests to return from injury.

Having been sidelined since Round 12 with a plantaris injury, Mattaes Phillipou has ticked off all key rehabilitation milestones and set to re-join main training this week. The South Australian was initially tracking to return earlier in the season but was a late withdrawal ahead of Round 14 after re-aggravating the injury moments before the first siren.

“Mattaes has shown great resilience and professionalism throughout his disrupted season,” EGM Football David Misson said.

“We look forward to seeing him back out there to hopefully finish the season strongly.”

Lance Collard’s availability will also be assessed during the Saints’ main session after the small forward was subbed out of Sunday’s win against the Dees with a shin contusion suffered in the second quarter.

Isaac Keeler (hamstring), Hugo Garcia (wrist), and Jack Carroll (knee) are all tracking well through their respective rehab programs and will be required to complete fitness tests during Friday’s main training to put their hand up for selection this week.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Webster and Patrick Said (calf) are continuing to progress in their respective rehabilitation programs.
