The Saints have added three talented youngsters to the squad for Sunday’s Round 3 clash in the west.

Classy midfielder Hunter Clark, emerging defender Darragh Joyce, and talented forward Ben Long will board the flight to Perth, as the Saints look to start the season with three straight wins.

INJURY REPORT: Hear the latest from the medical room

Joyce was one of the unlucky omissions from the Round 1 victory over the Suns, with the Irishman making way for a returning Nathan Brown in Round 2.

The 21-year-old has been named on an extended interchange bench and could come into the side to help control the Dockers’ tall brigade.

Clark has been an emergency in both games to date and has continued to press for selection with consistent VFL form.

The 20-year-old worked hard in the off-season to build his tank and warrant extra midfield time but can also be used off half-back.

Emerging star Ben Long was stiff to miss out in Round 2, with Alan Richardson citing ‘team balance’ as the reason for his exclusion.

The talented forward brings elite pressure on the ball and imposing physicality, traits which could come in handy against the Dockers’ defence.

Jack Steven has been spared the trip to Perth after limited preparation ahead of Round 1, the star midfielder's workload being managed.
