Fox Footy will present Spud’s Golden Fist following both the AFL and AFLW Spud’s Game clashes this Sunday at Marvel Stadium to the player who best personifies the “roll your sleeves up, get the job done” attitude of our great mate, Danny Frawley.
The ‘Fist’ will be voted by Jonathan Brown and Garry Lyon with the Frawley family’s stamp of approval, presented by Keeley Frawley.
Danny was a much-loved member of the Fox Footy family who brought fun, warmth and energy to every room he walked into.
Through Spud’s Game, Fox Footy is supporting the cause, encouraging Australians to check in on their own great mates and keep important conversations going.
Each week on Bounce, outstanding defensive acts on the field are recognised with a Golden Fist as the panel wraps up the weekend’s action; now, in Spud’s Game, that tradition goes one step further, with a player honoured for the kind of selfless, team-first act that Spud loved most.
Tickets to Spud's Game start from just $27, allowing access to both matches. Click here to secure yours!
Fans are urged to arrive early for AFLW Season Opener between St Kilda and Carlton and be in their seat for one of Australian sport's most powerful annual traditions, with Spud's Game set to reimagine its iconic two-minute mental health moment.
A stadium-wide light show will see around 40,000 fans illuminate Marvel Stadium together as a powerful symbol of this year's campaign theme, Better Together, while raising vital funds for the Danny Frawley Community, part of the Black Dog Institute.
Footy fans are also in for a treat at Marvel Stadium, with $3 pies and $3 chips available across both the AFLW and AFL games.
