The rebounding defender ranked first amongst all general defenders for intercept possessions in the Coates League in 2023, with his agility, versatility and willingness to take the game on earning plenty of commendation in the lead-up to this year’s AFL Draft.

Despite his 190cm frame, Hastie has the ability to play on both tall and small opposition forwards, marking him as one to watch as he takes the first steps of his AFL career in red, white and black.
