The Saints will utilise the bye as a trio of players edge closer to making their return to the team.

Alex Dodson (adductor), Hunter Clark (knee) and Dougal Howard (calf) are all progressing well through their respective rehabilitation programs, with all three tracking towards a return following the club’s bye.

As previously reported, Tom De Koning and Jack Sinclair will continue to be monitored closely, with greater clarity around their timelines expected in the coming weeks.

Additionally, second-year defender James Barrat is set to spend a period on the sidelines after suffering a foot fracture.

The 19-year-old reported soreness following the clubs Round 12 VFL game, with subsequent scans revealing the extent of the injury.
